We Care About Our Community

Our community is very important to us. As individuals, we want the place we live and work to be the best it can be.

Our financial institution serves the citizens and businesses of Oconee County. We work to tailor our services to the needs of the people who live and work in Oconee County. We mainly invest your dollars in your community.

The Community Reinvestment Act

The Bank of Westminster is committed to a local focus, because we believe it's good business and common sense to invest in your community.

Under the Community Reinvestment Act, our institution is evaluated on how well we make our credit services available to qualifying community residents, without regard to race, age, or gender.

We think our programs and services are exceptional. But it occurs to us that our customers and others in the community might not be aware of all the ways in which we contribute to the viability and vitality of our community. We hope, after reading this , you will see how serious we take our role in contributing to the quality of life here in each community we serve.

Serving the Credit Needs of Oconee County

We are quite proud of our contribution toward meeting the credit needs of our community. Lending money is more that a simple business transaction for us. Our loan programs promote homeownership, support job growth and support local economic development.

We offer special products and services to meet the needs of low to moderate income groups, such as personal checking, small business checking, savings accounts for minors, as well as home improvement and home purchase loans.

Our Role as Employer and Taxpayer

We also provide employment and tax revenues-two factors that count heavily in the municipality's well-being. Our business is employee-intensive and we draw heavily on our community for our personnel. In addition, we pay taxes at the local, as well as state and federal levels on income, sales, real property, and other business property and activities. Hopefully, all of these dollars help with the quality of life in our community.
